TiVo has been beaten up during its life, but Dish Networks lost a case and the appeal for violating patents. they may have to shut off their DVRs, and will at least have to pay a big fine to TiVo. good TiVo won yet another victory in its long-running patent infringement battle against Dish Network. A federal appeals court has upheld the lower court's ruling and damage award, and Dish Network is likely to be forced to shut off its DVR service once the appeal becomes final.
